Publié le par Ludi and friends

In france we celebrate different things, let me explain.

First of all you have the New year the origin back to ancient Rome.

In 46 BCE, Julius Caesar decided that the New Year's Day, formerly celebrated in March, is set at 1 JanuaryRomans dedicate this day to JanusJanuary also owes its name to Janus who happens to be the god of doors and beginningshe had two faces, one facing forwardthe other to the arrier.

Ludi tell you more : In France, the last day of the year, we make a party and look on the clock everytime. And just before it's midnight and the new year we say 5...4...3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR. In this moment we become crazier than the other day

Next time you have the labor Day celebrate the May 1 (fête du travail in french)

Labor Day is the name of several parties that were established in the eighteenth century to celebrate the achievements of workers.

May 8, 1945 is the date in the Gregorian calendar, twohistorical events:

The Allied victory over Nazi Germany and the end of theSecond World War in Europe marked by the announcement of the surrender of GermanyThis day is called by theAnglophones "VE Day" for "Victory in Europe Day"

July 14

This is the day when the lights are drawn fireworks

Ludi took you of the symboles and she explain you things about French Revolutionary.. It was the 14th july of 1789 so each year the 14th july we celebrate this day.

After you have another festivals such as:

Easter Monday (1 day after Easter)

Ludi tell you more: French people tell to childreen than the day of Easter, a crazy rabbit or a wingest bell come in garden to offer chocolate eggs. This day was create because of chirstianism :  Easter day, it's forbiden for Christians's people to eat meat that's why, to not throw in the trash can, famers offered their eggs to childreen

                                                   ^o^

The feast of love ( Valentines days)

The music Festival

Halloween (last day of october)

Christmas (night between 24 and 25 december)

For japanese this day is just commercial, I mean just to offer a present to people we love but it's magical in french

Ludi tell you more: Create at first by chirstianism, it's the birth of lord Jesus (son of God for this religious and begining of western calendar: we are in 2014 so 2014 years after his birth ^o^) and for this moment, it's the best when there is snow because it add something mysterious or magical and it's so funny to play on snow or just looking kids playins with snow. When they discover present under the christmass tree they become crazy and it's also funny to see them
